Schools declared holiday in Bantwal, Sullia taluks

The Tehsildar has ordered to declare a holiday on August 16, for all the schools in the Bantwal and Sulya taluks following heavy rainfall.


Heavy rain in Kasaragod: Many families shifted

As the Chandragiri river is in full spate due to heavy rains in the district, around 25 per cent of families living down-stream were shifted to safe places. The low-lying areas in Korakkodu were marooned in the flood water. Fire brigade, revenue department and police department have shifted the families.
