Bengaluru: A railway officer who had attended his grandson's birthday party has tested positive for Corona and has been suspended since he had not taken the precautionary measure to maintain safe physical distancing at the party.

Nagamangala: In an incident reported from Nagamangala, two kids died after drowning in a lake when they had been to the lake to give bathe to their cattle here on Thursday. The incident took place at Bolloru in Navamangala Taluk in Mandya Taluk.

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Thursday reported 442 new cases of Coronavirus while also reporting 519 recoveries. With the new cases, the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 10,560.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Thursday said Bengaluru is still 'safe' compared to the COVID-19 situation in other cities and states and ruled out fresh lockdown, for now, putting to rest speculations that it was planning such a move in view of a spike in cases.

Granting advance bail to a rape accused, the Karnataka High Court has expressed its reservations about the genuineness of the complainant's case while observing that her explanation that "after the perpetration of the act she was tired and fell asleep,is unbecoming of an Indian woman."
