Basanagouda Patil Yatnal urges BJP leadership to send 'unbiased observer' to Karnataka

BJP leader and MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has called on the central leadership of the party to dispatch an “unbiased observer” to Karnataka to evaluate the state unit's functioning. Yatnal has alleged a nexus between former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, his son and BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra, and Congress leaders.

 


Health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao orders action against drug firm over substandard IV solutions

Health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has directed drug control officials to register a case against a West Bengal-based firm after 22 batches of IV solutions were found to be of substandard quality. The firm in question is the same company whose Ringer's Lactate solution was allegedly found to have led to four maternal deaths at the Ballari district hospital in November.
