M'luru: Consumer Redressal Forum orders Apple to pay customer Rs 81,000 for giving defective iPhone

The Dakshina Kannada Consumer Redressal Forum has ordered Apple to pay a compensation amount more than Rs 80,000 to a customer who had purchased an iPhone of the company, for delivering a defective product.

Kasaragod: Five labourers trapped under soil during NH 66 work rescued; One worker critical

Kasaragod: An incident of landslide was reported in Chervathur Mattalayi in the district during the work on the National Highway 66 on Monday morning trapping five workers under the mud.

The hillock beside the road is said to have collapsed all of a sudden when the work on the national highway was on.

All five of the workers were rescued by the fire brigade and police personnel with much effort. The health condition of one of the workers is reported to be critical. The worker is currently under treatment at the Chervathur Hospital.
