In an incident that occurred on Saturday morning, a two-storeyed house situated close to the ocean at Musodi in Uppala, collapsed to the ground after intense tidal waves crashed into the structure. The levelled house belongs to a man named Musa, who is a resident of Musodi, it is learned.

 A case has been registered against a man from Maninalkur village in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district for attending a wedding three days after testing positive for coronavirus, police said.

Mangaluru: A WhatsApp message with communally sensitive content was being circulated on social media by miscreants using the name of Vartha Bharati and the mobile number of VB’s in charge. Reacting to the development, a complaint to Mangaluru Police Commissioner was filed by VB citing miscreants were using the name of the organization to spread hatred and communal tension.
