Mangaluru: Custom Authorities at Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday seized gold worth 18 lakh rupees from a passenger who arrived at the airport from Dubai.

Puttur: One person has been reportedly taken into custody in connection with the double murder case in which two members of a family were killed on the spot and another woman was critically injured.

Bantwal: A bike rider was critically injured in a collision between his bike and a container lorry on BC Road on Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway.

A senior citizen and a girl were killed and a woman was critically injured when miscreants assaulted them with lethal weapons late on Monday night at Hosmaru village in Kuriya here.
