Mangaluru: In a major reshuffle in the police department ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, state government on Thursday, 21 February, issued the transfer orders of 30 IPS officers from across the state.

Senior IPS officer and Mangaluru Police Commissioner, T. R Suresh, was also one among the 30 who received transfer orders with immediate effect.

Karkala: A student died and 21 others injured in a bus-tipper head on collision at Jantra on Belmannu- Shirva road on Saturday evening. Among 21 injured, the condition of four persons is said to be critical.

Udupi: Nisha James, on Saturday took over the charge as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Udupi district from Laxman Nimbargi, who was transferred in an order from Government Secretariat on Thursday along with 30 other IPS officers from across the state.
