A 21-year-old CPM activist brutally killed with lethal weapons at Mangalpady near Uppala on Sunday night. The victim has been identified as Somkalu resident Azeem’s son Abubakar Siddiq.


Bhatkal: Tempo plunges into gorge when truck hits

One person died and 15 others injured when a tempo in which they were travelling from Bhatkal to Murudeshwar, hit by a truck from the rear and plunged into a gorge after the tempo driver lost control over the vehicle near Shirali National highway bridge on Sunday.

Udupi : Fire breaks out in exploded lorry tyre

A tyre of moving lorry burst and fire broke out at Kinnimulki Balaipade on national highway 66 at 10 am near here on Sunday.

A rear tyre of a lorry carrying cement from Tumkur to Udupi exploded. Suddenly, the driver the lorry parked the vehicle on the roadside. Suddenly fire broke out in the burst tyre. Suddenly the fire brigade of Udupi was informed.

Bandiyod : Boy stabbed to death by classmate

A clash between two classmates ended up in the murder of one boy at Adka near Bandiyod on Sunday.

The victim is identified as Mohammad Midlaz(13) of Adka. The incident happened at 8.15 am. Verbal dual started between them. At this time, his classmate stabbed Midlaz injuring him seriously. Though he was rush d to a private hospital at Bandiyod, he breathed his last.
