Accelerating the investigation into the suspicious death of Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt, the police have taken over the two rooms of the Shiroor Moola Mutt near Hiriyadka to collect evidences.
The last rites of Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt were held at the Shiroor Moola Mutt near Hiriyadka on Thursday evening as per the Hindu rituals.
“Shiroor Swamiji had come out of the Puritanism. He was loving the poor without considering their castes. I suspect he might have faced this problem because of this reason. So, the government and the district administration should intervene in the issue and order a high level probe into the death of the swamiji”, said Esha Vittala Swamiji of Kemaru Sandipani Ashram.
