An alleged derogatory post on a senior RSS leader in Dakshina Kannada district has gone viral drawing criticism from various quarters against the 'objectionable' remarks on him.

Fed up of caste and religion based politics as well as rampant corruption, Akhil K Gowda (25), a young engineering graduate from  Sullia who runs an  NGO named "Yuva"  in Mysuru is on a solo cycling mission across the state with the objective of creating a political awareness in the society. His cycle jatha with the  slogan "Vote for Clean Politics" will cover 3,000 kms.  

Close on the heels of a  college student from Moodigere ending her life after  some unscrupulous elements threatened her and even tried to defame her by circulating her photo on social sites, another similar incident of trying to defame a female student has been reported from Mangaluru
