Mangaluru:  In the wake of COVID-19 lockdown in the country, a delegation from Highland Islamic Forum, Mangaloreheaded by Rizwan Pandeshwar, HIF Ration Kit Co-coordinator met Mangalore South Constituency MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Diwakar and MCC Opposition Leader, Abdul Ravoof on 6^th April with an aim to join hands with local authorities in a bid to serve the daily wage earning families in and around Mangaluru, during this emergency period. HIF delegation included Secretary Ausaf Hussain, Executive members Nazim SS, Adel Parvez, Nabeel Kudroli and Saleem Makkah.

Mangaluru: In a moving incident that took place in Mangaluru when the volunteers of Highland Islamic Forum were returning after distributing kits of essentials to the poor and underprivileged two needy ladies who claimed to have not eaten proper food from over a week secured food kits for themselves.

Mangaluru: A youth from Bhatkal who was suffering from COVID-19 said he was treated received good treatment at Wenlock Hospital.

Mangaluru: Four people who were infected with COVID-19 and were shifted to Wenlock Hospital in the city were on Monday discharged from the hospital after they reportedly recovered completely. Three patients reportedly hail from Kasargod while another patient hails from Bhatkal.

Bantwal: Residents of Pratap Nagar in Kadeshivalaya in Bantwal Taluk have reported that miscreants on Sunday night pelted stones at their houses. The residents claimed that the incident took place when the miscreants were returning after lighting Dias and Candles.

Mangaluru: Taking note of the communally hateful messages, news and pictures in the wake of Corona Virus, Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Laxmi Prasad on Monday issued strict warning to people spreading such messages and news on local social media platforms.

Puttur: A person reportedly has been booked for allegedly posting derogatory remarks about Quran on social media platforms. The accused is reported to be a resident of Belandur village of Puttur Taluk.
