The witness-complainant who had alleged that several bodies were buried in Dharmasthala has been produced before the Belthangady court, which has remanded him to Special Investigation Team (SIT) custody for 10 days.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday produced the complainant witness in the Dharmasthala mass burial case before the Belthangady court after taking him into custody.

The bail plea of Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, an activist associated with the Soujanya movement, came up for hearing today at the Court of the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC in Udupi. He was arrested in connection with allegedly making derogatory remarks against BJP National General Secretary B.L. Santosh.
