17 Districts gets no representation in Yediyurappa’s cabinet

Bengaluru: As many as 17 Districts of the state did not get any representation in the newly formed cabinet of the state as 17 ministers from 13 Districts took charge as the cabinet ministers on Tuesday morning.

Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP MLA Madhu Swamy on Tuesday found himself under a rather embarrassing situation while taking oath as the minister in Yediyurappa cabinet. A slip of tongue during oath taking and he mistakenly took oath as the ‘Mukhya Mantri’ meaning the Chief Minister while all he had to say was only ‘Mantri’ meaning minister.

Bengaluru: BJP Government led by BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday formed the cabinet of minister with 17 MLAs taking oath as the cabinet ministers. The reports however add that some party loyalists are not happy with the selection of candidates for the ministers as they believe that senior leaders have been ignored in formation of the cabinet.
