The Karnataka Bandh, which was organized by the Farmer’s organizations to protest against the anti-people laws including the Land Reform and APMC Amendment Act - which is being implemented by the central and state governments - has not received much support in Mangaluru.

The protesters near the City Bus stand in Udupi were arrested for blocking the roads during the protest demonstration that was carried out in the wake of Karnataka Bundh, this morning. 

Mangaluru: KSRTC Bus services in Dakshina Kannada are likely to remain unaffected even as several organizations have called for observing a bandh to support the protests of farmers against the farm bills passed in parliament last week.

Konaje: A 53-year-old woman was found dead in mysterious condition at Belleri, Hoohakuvakallu near Konaje here. The deceased woman has been identified as Kusuma (53). Her body was found lying at her house on Saturday.
