District Minister UT Khader announced that Rs one lakh cash prize would be given to the police who acted swiftly and arrested the accused in the Thota Bengre gang-rape incident.

Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Institutions vice president D. Surendra Kumar and senior Nagaswara artiste Annu Devadiga got the Rajyotsava award, the list of which was announced by the government on Wednesday.
